Usage

Broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat susceptible bacterial infections. In dogs: indicated for skin, soft tissue, and periodontal infections. In cats: indicated for skin/soft tissue and urinary tract infections.

Contraindications

Do not use in animals with a history of hypersensitivity to penicillins or cephalosporins. Use with caution in pets with severe renal dysfunction; safe use in pregnant or breeding animals has not been established.

Side Effects

Generally well-tolerated; may cause mild gastrointestinal upset (transient anorexia, vomiting, diarrhea) and rarely allergic reactions (hives, facial swelling, breathing difficulty).

Overdose Information

Mild overdose may cause more pronounced GI symptoms; extreme overdose could lead to kidney damage or neurologic effects. Supportive care is recommended.

Storage & Handling

Store in a dry, cool place at controlled room temperature (≤25°C / 77°F); protect from moisture and keep tablets in original packaging until use.
