Antithyroid medication used for long-term management of hyperthyroidism in cats. Helps control symptoms like weight loss, hyperactivity, and excessive appetite.

Contraindicated in pregnant, nursing, or breeding cats; use caution in cats with liver disease or blood dyscrasias.

Common side effects include gastrointestinal upset (vomiting, decreased appetite), lethargy, and sometimes facial itching or skin lesions. Rarely, severe liver injury or bone marrow suppression may occur.

Overdose may intensify side effects and can lead to overt hypothyroidism. Supportive care is required if an overdose occurs.

Store at controlled room temperature (25°C / 77°F); keep tightly closed to protect from moisture. Handle with care to avoid human exposure.
