About 182175 Luna

LUNA - 5 years old, 50 pounds, crate trained, house trained but if left alone will have accidents, nervous around kids/strangers,

Surrendered bc her family got military orders and they cannot take her along, Luna is now with us at VBACAC looking for a new home.

She has deep shiny black fur and deep dark amber eyes.

Luna is kind of a scaredy cat to begin with. She is nervous and avoids children. She is nervous when it comes to meeting new people but we are seeing it doesn't take long for her to warm up to new people. It's always best to just go slow though.

*Slow and proper introductions will be necessary when it comes to meeting new people.

She is nervous when it comes to riding in cars, loud noises and being left alone.

Are you home more often than not? Luna would certainly appreciate a new family where someone keeps her company most of the days. She is known to have accidents in the home and chew things up when she is left alone. She will need a family who has the time, patience and understanding to allow her to settle in and possibly help with some of the things that make her nervous.

She is also not a huge fan of other dogs. We had her in our gentle dainty group and she just hung out, trotted around mostly near us. She didn't engage with the others too much.

If you have the patience and willingness to work with Luna, we are sure you will be rewarded with her loyalty and companionship.

Come on in to meet her. She is currently in a back kennel so if you do come in and don't see her, please just ask.
