About Abbigail- such a sweetheart
Abbigail came from our rescue partner in Louisiana and is now in a NJ foster home.
Abbigail is a 2 year chocolate lab mix who is approximately 45 pounds. She is playful as expected with her remaining puppy energy but enjoys her downtime on the couch with the resident dog. She is dog and kid friendly, loves playtime, enjoys cuddles and eager to please!
Abbigail is housetrained and knows basic commands. She gets super excited when her foster parents are continuing her basic training when she sees the delicious treats awaiting her!
She is sleeping through the night on a dog bed close to her foster parents and stays there for the entire evening.
Abbigail is extremely food motivated and has been doing will with her crate training. She loves having her peanut butter filled kong while in her create. She associates her create with food and gets so excited when she sees her kong toy! She often goes to her create to play her her toys or bones.
As her foster parents continue her leash training, they have seen that she is a social butterfly and loves to say hi to everyone on their walks!
She is looking for her furever home. She would make a great addition to any family.
Abbigail is fixed, up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. She recently completed treatment for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450.
Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.
