About *ADDIE

Meet Addie — a young snugglebug who has spent over 300 days at the shelter waiting for her person. Addie is beautiful inside and out. Even after being abandoned as a puppy at a playground with a poorly healed ankle fracture, this happy, loving, playful girl models a resilient spirit that refuses to be broken.

Addie recently got a break from kennel life and absolutely nailed her first overnight outing. She strolled calmly on leash through the busy streets of downtown Austin, charming everyone she met with her wiggly body and sweet, attentive vibes. In the hotel, she self-entertained with stuffy toys, slept soundly overnight, and was perfectly polite with verbal cues. She greeted new humans with gentle kisses and passed other dogs on walks without a fuss. She's clearly house-trained and ready to be someone's very best girl.

She’s social, affectionate, dog-friendly, and treat-motivated — she already knows `sit` and would thrive learning more. Addie is a great fit for a home or apartment, and would love a playful dog sibling or sturdy kids 10+ to share her big-hearted love with. Addie has the odds stacked against her: she's a big dog, a bully breed, a long-stay, and has some lingering medical issues that would heal better in a real home. Let’s prove the stereotypes wrong. Come meet this overlooked gem and help her finally leave the shelter behind.
